1867 Austria – registered letter sent from the Hungarian territory (from the territory of present-day Slovakia) to the US (Davenport) – with RAKOVICZ postmark – Expert opinion: Moritsch
On the reverse, the registered fee paid with a stamp of 1864 10 krajcar postmark, one corner of the stamp is missing. Extremely rare overseas cover!
The “pair” of this cover, a cover sent from the USA to Hungary, also with RAKOVICZ postmark, is auctioned under 2139.
