1934 Hungary – ordinary registered express airmail envelope with 12,44 P franking, rare 2*5P usage – to Egry Aurele
420 €
It is extremely rare to find a multiple ordinary usege of the 5P denomination of the 1936 Airmail set!
Airmail letter in weight class 22 (420-440 grams):
Letter: 4.60 Pengő
Airmail surcharge: 7,04 Pengő
Express fee: 0,80 Pengő
The registered fee was missed by the postman… so the letter’s postage paid shows a deficit of 50f. Such minor mistakes often occur in complicated airmail letters, adding a nice touch of colour to the postal history of the letter.
The addressee is Aurele Egry, a member of the House of Lords, whose own lawyer’s office sent out official documents to Paris.
